New to Yoga? Not sure where or how to begin? Our beginner series is a perfect place by starting in a nurturing, supportive environment at a slow & steady pace. You will learn breathing exercises, basic postures and their alignments, plus relaxation techniques. This series is for those who prefer a slow and steady pace, and those with back problems or other health concerns.
Bhakti Yoga/Stretch & Pray
On a trek through Thailand and Nepal, Bishop Murray Fink was introduced by local guides to a practice of gentle stretching and quiet prayer also known as Bhakti Yoga (Yoga of devotion). Integrating body and spirit in a gentle practice led to increased vitality and joy. On his return, Bishop Fink shared this practice with others. Rev. Serena Sellers has practiced Stretch and Pray with Bishop Fink, and has been practicing yoga for over a decade. Pastor Serena will lead a weekly session of Stretch and Pray at 7 am at the Moondog Yoga Studio in Quakertown.
While this weekly session will be free of charge, a free-will offering will be forwarded to the Quakertown Food Pantry.
Breathe & Focus
This class is a combination of breath exercises and meditation.
Stay after yoga plain & simple, drop in before all levels yoga, or simply take the class on its own.
Community Yoga ($5)
This wallet friendly class invites all community members with or without any yoga experience!
Looking to slow it down? This class is for you. A slow, gentle practice for beginners, prenatal, postnatal, and those recovering from illness or injury.
Focus on you! If you want to feel more focused and ride the waves of life, join us! Practice breath exercises and relaxation.
Musically Inspired Slow Flow Yoga
"If music be the food of love, play on" ~ William Shakespeare. Love the music, love your practice, love yourself.
What is Restorative Yoga? Just that... Restorative! This practice is supported by various props that allow to stay in poses for a long period of time without any strain, stress, pain, or discomfort.
Slow Flow Yoga
Slowing down allows us to focus more. See things in a different way (posture). This flow is suitable for all levels of practitioners.
Mellow Yoga Medley
Join Michelle for a combination of gentle, yin, and restorative yoga. This class is suitable for all levels, even those new to yoga. Poses may be held longer, to stretch your connective tissue, as well as gently stretching your muscles, and all poses will renew, restore, and relax your body and mind.
Yoga for Strength
Hold powerful poses, repeat vinyasas, and incorporate light weights into your practice. This class will help you tone and strengthen your body and mind.
Yoga in the Park
June's Dark Side of the moon class meets Sunset in the park.
June’s “Dark Side of the Moon” practice is an all-levels class to the music of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.” The flow is usually taught during a full moon, and is based on two different versions of moon salutations, making it a little more meditative than a sun salutation-based practice. Moon poses, such as Half Moon, also round out the practice. These elements are the stable core of the practice, and a common theme throughout is the luminous lightness of the moon.
This class will take place at the amphitheater located in the Park at 4th in the borough of Quakertown.
