yoga for the winter blues w/ jill mc cambridge

The cold, dark, long winters tend to trigger or heighten what we perceive to be negative emotions. Stress, anxiety and depression are thought to be emotional in nature, when in fact they also have specific physical symptoms as well. Students will be able to learn simple tools that can be used every day, such as breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga postures that help alleviate depression and anxiety symptoms as well as the stressors of daily life.                                                                                                         During this workshop, we will focus on creating an internal sunlight, something that is much needed during the long cold days of winter. This workshop will be a safe nurturing environment to address and experience moving through these challenging emotions. This workshop is appropriate for all levels.                                                                                    Jill is a 200 RYT and a behavioral health specialist, LCSW.  SHe has over a decade of experience in this field.                                                                                                 registration required                                                                                                            $35
