In an Ayurvedic Fall Rejuvenation, the idea is to nourish yourself deeply, on all levels, for a designated period of time. This deep nourishment allows your body to repair, regenerate, and revitalize all of your organs, tissues, and systems—including your mental, emotional, and spiritual state of being.

An Ayurvedic rejuvenation is typically conducted over 1-3 days, and includes a supportive daily routine, rejuvenative foods and teas, and nourishing yoga and relaxation practices. The process allows a release of excess heat from the summer, and builds reserves for the upcoming winter season. You can expect the rejuvenation process to be soothing, sweet, grounding, and enjoyable.

In this workshop, you will learn about all the aspects of a Fall Rejuvenation, taste test foods and teas, and be able to determine the right approach for your constitution (dosha). We'll close our time with a Fall Rejuvenation Asana practice to release heat, and restore the nervous system. At the conclusion of the workshop, you'll have the tools to conduct a rejuvenation for yourself at home.

Sarah Guglielmi is a professional educator in the fields of yoga and ayurveda. A former engineer, she was drawn to yoga 15 years ago looking for relief from chronic stress. Sarah not only regained her health, but discovered a deeper dimension to life she finds rich and inspiring. Her overarching intention is to make the transformative power of yoga and ayurveda accessible to her students.

Sarah has served on the faculty of the Himalayan Institute for the past 10 years. She has taught numerous workshops on yoga practice, yoga philosophy, subtle energetics, and ayurvedic lifestyle. She travels nationally as a teacher trainer for the Himalayan Institute’s Yoga and Ayurveda Professional Certification programs. Sarah currently resides in Buffalo, NY, where she serves on the faculty of the Himalayan Institute of Buffalo and Daemen College.

3 Wisdom Traditions Learning Lab


Yoga therapeutics, ayurvedic medicine, and traditional clinical psychotherapy are three powerful healing traditions which can restore balance in life. Imagine applying all three synergistically to support the challenges in your life, or in the lives of clients and students! Designed for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialists, this program will also support social workers, psychotherapists, nurses, and allied health professionals who are looking to supplement their work with clinical applications of yogic and ayurvedic practices.

The Three Wisdom Traditions (3WT) program is designed to support healthy physical, energetic, emotional, and mental functioning, and recovery from maladaptive thinking or behavioral patterns. A “wraparound” at-home treatment plan will help you and your yoga students learn to develop self-regulation, resiliency, adaptability, and interpersonal support.

The In-Person Learning Lab at Moondog Yoga introduces techniques from each of the Three Wisdom Traditions and provides opportunities for application. Explore combining techniques into a supportive blueprint for your own self-evolution, and practice with clinical adaptations of the 3WT system. Our work together will include examining case studies to develop at-home support plans.

As a Three Wisdom Traditions Wellness Coach you will also be mentored, as you learn to integrate these potent wisdoms into your work and be able to offer daily support to your clients using yogic practices, ayurvedic lifestyle, and diet, along with psychological approaches to positive thinking, healthy attachment, and self-regulation.

As a yoga teacher, ayurvedic practitioner, and clinical psychotherapist Kathryn Templeton has developed the Three Wisdom Traditions (3WT) program with two goals in mind:

To support caregivers and healing professionals of all traditions to create a balanced lifestyle, develop practices for their own self-care, and decrease burnout and secondary traumatization.
To offer practitioners of each Wisdom Tradition tools to provide wraparound support for clients and patients, to continue their healing work outside of the session.

Session I - friday, september 20, 6:00pm-8:30pm . Session II - saturday, september 21, 9:00am-5:00pm with 1.5 hours for lunch
Session III - sunday, september 22, 9:00am-3:30pm with 1.5 hours for lunch

We want our message and our LOVE to spread. And we know that LOVE grows stronger when it grows in numbers. If you feel called to our mission and vision, we encourage you to become a leader in this revolution by participating in our 2-Part Facilitator Training. During Part 1 of the certification, the 15-hour weekend training, is led by one of our Certified Facilitator-Trainers (CF-Ts), who will provide guidance and instruction on how to facilitate our inspirational programs and walk you through the process of delivering these workshops in your own space. Our CF-Ts are dynamic and compassionate facilitators who will provide feedback to each trainee and leave you feeling inspired to create change in your community. This weekend training course is for any self-empowered woman who feels inspired to offer our curriculum to schools, camps, community centers, yoga studios, and other non-profit organizations. You will be trained by Embody Love Movement Founder, Dr. Melody Moore, during Part 2 of the certification. The training takes places in four 1-hour segments of an online training.
 
What is a Facilitator?
Facilitators are women who lovingly share Embody Love Movement’s revolutionary programs in studios, private practices, schools, camps, community centers and other non-profit organizations. The workshops that they facilitate focus on emotional expression, exposing media myths, changing the conversation from criticism to kindness, and recognizing self-worth and purpose.
 
How Facilitators Make a Difference:
This training provides participants with the curriculum and skills necessary to facilitate our transformative workshops and to inspire girls and women who participate in our programs to:

About Part I of The Training & Certification
When you participate in a Facilitator Training you are getting more than just exposure to our curriculum. Our CF-Ts are trained to help you build up your own abilities around facilitation and all the intricacies of this critical work. Because our workshops call upon participants to deepen their own understanding of self-image, self-love and self-acceptance, it is important that we do the same work with our facilitators. Our 15-hour training allows you to dive into the experience of an Embody Love Workshop and then walks you step-by-step through the key elements of facilitating the very work that you have just engaged in. You can expect the following during any of our Facilitator Trainings:
♥ Participation in an Embody Love Workshop led by a CF-T
♥ The being and doing of facilitation: holding safe space
♥ Projection, transference, and shadow work in groups
♥ Using yoga as a tool to find and keep body acceptance
♥ Finding your voice and sharing your truth: story telling that heals
♥ The detriments of body shaming and comparison
♥ Teaching media literacy and demystifying standard of beauty
♥ Practice, practice, practice of facilitation through role play
♥ How to spread the LOVE and bring the revolution to your community
 
Bringing ELM to Your Community:
Once you have participated in Facilitator Training, you will be able to start hosting workshops in your community. You will have the knowledge and skill set to offer various Embody Love Movement® Workshops Curriculum to various groups of individuals. We want to empower you to draw in what feels right to you and, at the same time, give back to the organization so that we can continue to offer and deliver to the greater whole. Facilitators are also more than welcome to deliver workshops at no cost and volunteer their time. We hold no expectations regarding which path you choose for any given workshop. Our workshops are interactive and designed for specific age groups. Each workshop takes participants through an embodied journey that changes the way they see and treat themselves and each other.

every wednesday from june 5 - august 14th join Moondog yoga for an all levels yoga class in the park. this class will take place at the amphitheater located in the Park at 4th in the borough of Quakertown. 

the week of the full moon June’s “Dark Side of the Moon” practice is an all-levels class to the music of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.” The flow is usually taught during a full moon, and is based on two different versions of moon salutations, making it a little more meditative than a sun salutation-based practice. Moon poses, such as Half Moon, also round out the practice. These elements are the stable core of the practice, and a common theme throughout is the luminous lightness of the moon.

This engaging, clearly-written book guides readers into not only a deeper understanding of the yamas and niyamas, but suggests how to live them, as well. Each chapter explores one of the yamas or niyamas, and ends with a self-study section, on which we will base our discussion.

Required reading – The Four Desires: Creating a Life of Purpose, Happiness, Prosperity and Freedom by Rod Stryker. Please read Intro and Parts I-III prior to start of course.

Optional, but highly recommended –The Four Desires meditation CD.

The Four Desires workbook will be provided as part of the course.

explore and prep Padmasana (lotus pose)

The word yoga evokes many images but perhaps one of the most classic is that of a yogi meditating in Lotus Pose / Padmasana with a serene face, eyes closed and legs twisted like a pretzel. While many of us can’t fathom how anyone could sit like that without cringing, let alone find peace in Padmasana, we may still be curious.

The short discussion at the beginning of this class will explore Lotus Pose, the venerated meditation seat. Learn about the benefits of starting a journey toward Padmasana, as well some key safety guidelines for that practice.

The alignment-based yoga practice will include preparatory poses, tips on incorporating Padmasana prep into your regular yoga practice and assistance finding a comfortable meditation seat – participants may or may not sit in Lotus for the 10-minute meditation at the end of class.

This class is best suited for those with some yoga and/or meditation experience.

If you are curious and drawn to the image of a yogi in Lotus Pose, as I am, come get your journey started in an approachable way.

Bhakti translates as devotion and love of the divine in whatever form this takes for you. When we cultivate a bhakti yoga practice we are expanding into love, devotion and selfless service.

In this Bhakti Flow practice we will explore a joyful, love-filled mantra to open the space for the expansion of love, leading into a dynamic asana practice focusing on opening the heart. Through the progression of the flow we will soften the space of the heart, listen to select passages from the Bhagavad Gita, chant and establish ourselves as Warriors of Love both on and off the mat. You will leave feeling light, joyful and full of love.

This practice will be appropriate for all levels of experience, except for brand new beginners.

Join Diane for a discussion of The Yamas and Niyamas: Exploring Yoga’s Ethical Practice, by Deborah Adele. The yamas and niyamas (translated from sanskrit as restraints and observances) are two  of the eight limbs of yoga, as outlined in the yoga sutras, and are foundational to all yogic thought.

This engaging, clearly-written book guides readers into not only a deeper understanding of the yamas and niyamas, but suggests how to live them, as well. Each chapter explores one of the yamas or niyamas, and ends with a self-study section, on which we will base our discussion.

This club meets monthly, and we will discuss a new chapter each month. You are welcome to join at any point.
